The ROS-BIM Project utilizes a dynamic integration between the Robotic Operation System (ROS) and the ifcOWL ontology to enable the automation of digital fabrication using IFC model data. The project's objectives included examining the feasibility of integrating ROS with ifcOWL ontology for digital fabrication automation, developing a workflow for extracting wall geometry data (including openings) from IFC models, and implementing a system for cutting gypsum boards based on standard dimensions. Additionally, the team aimed to simulate and visualize robotic movements and fabrication processes using RVIZ and update the resulting panel geometry on the server as an IfcBuildingElementProxy, labeling them with their fabrication status. In order to plan buildings compliant with respect to occupants' safety, performance-based analysis of the design can be conducted. For that, crowd simulations can be applied. These simulations are used to check whether performance indicators are fulfilled and the building is compliant. To perform such analysis automatically, the model has to provide specific information on top of geometric information. For that, the IFC standard has to be extended. The key actors on this project are the Fire Safety Expert, the Simulation Expert as well as the AHJ (Authorities Having Jurisdiction). The aim of this project is to perform this kind of analysis throughout the design phase in a repetitive manner to enhance the overall planning process. Für die Ausführungsplanung der Stahlbetonbewehrung benötigt man zwei wesentliche Grundlagen: Die exakte Geometrie des auszuführenden Bauwerks mit Aussparungen und Einbauteilen (Schalmaße), sowie die statische Berechnung (siehe Abschnitt 4), die neben konstruktiven Hinweisen (z.B. maximale Stabdurchmesser oder minimale Abstände) die statisch erforderliche Bewehrungsmenge für jedes Bauteil und deren Verteilung beinhaltet. Das Bewehrungsmodell wird als eigenständiges Fachmodell der Tragwerksplanung modelliert. Als Modellgrundlage wird ein Tragwerksmodells genutzt, aus dem die Schalpläne abgeleitet werden können. Dieses Schalungsmodell, wenn man es nennen möchte, muss sowohl die geometrischen (LOG) als auch attributiven Voraussetzungen (LOI) erfüllen, die für eine exakte Ausführungsplanung notwendig sind. Das mit einem BIM-Autorenwerkzeug erstellte Bewehrungsmodell dient dann in den folgenden BIMProzessen der Qualitätssicherung, Koordination, Mengenermittlung und kann außerdem als Grundlage für die automatisierte Erstellung der Bewehrungskomponenten in der Vorfabrikation dienen.
